POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the VP of Communications, the Senior Director, Strategic Communications plans and oversees the implementation of comprehensive, integrated communications strategy and tactics to support Boston Medical Center Health System's (BMC Health System) long-term goals, including, but not limited to, positioning and amplifying transformational models of clinical excellence, operational innovation, health equity, and access. The Senior Director, Strategic Communications works closely with BMC Health System strategy, marketing, development, community engagement, and government advocacy teams to analyze market trends, set communications objectives, design communication strategy and measure the effectiveness of various communications campaigns. The Senior Director, Strategic Communications will also lead the external communications teams to advance compelling and goal-shifting engagement with priority external audiences including media, patients, health care key opinion leaders, and constituency groups. The Senior Director, Strategic Communications will lead and support high profile BMC Health System initiatives and issues. JOB REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree required, Advanced Degree preferred CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED: None EXPERIENCE: Requires a minimum of ten years of related communications strategy experience.
