Your Role:

The Associate Director of Human Resources (ADHR) is a key leadership role responsible for managing the human resources function at the Round Lake plant. This individual will lead a team of HR professionals in providing strategic HR support to the plant's management and employees. The ADHR will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all HR policies, procedures, and regulations, as well as driving initiatives to improve employee engagement, performance, and development.

This role is an on-site position and is required to be in the office 5 days a week in Round Lake, IL.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Lead and manage the HR team to deliver high-quality HR services to the Round Lake plant, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and training and development.
  • Partner with plant leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that align with the overall business objectives and promote a positive and productive work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all HR policies, procedures, and regulations, including those related to employment law, benefits, and employee relations.
  • Collaborate with the Director of HR to develop and implement HR initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement, performance, and development.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to plant leader, SLT and managers on HR-related issues, such as performance management, employee relations, and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with employees at all levels of the organization to build trust and foster a culture of open communication.
  • Lead the HR team in analyzing HR data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement, and develop recommendations for action.
  • Collaborate with the Director of HR on HR projects and initiatives, such as talent management, succession planning, and diversity and inclusion.
  • Stay current on HR trends and best practices, and share insights with the HR team and plant leadership to drive continuous improvement.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive HR experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing HR teams, with a track record of delivering high-quality HR services.
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and regulations, with a focus on employment law.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze HR data and identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement solutions to HR-related issues.
  • Strong ethical standards and a commitment to confidentiality.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $160,000.00 to $220,000.00 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location.
