Position Summary:
Carry out research to analyze data from Big Bear Solar
Observatory and NASA missions. Understand the physics of solar
eruptions and magnetic field evolution to fulfill the mission of Center for
Solar Terrestrial Research and Institute for Space Weather Sciences. Work with faculty and students in Machine
Learning and Artificial Intelligence.

Essential Functions:
- Analyze data.
- Write scientific papers.
- Act as duty scientist of Big Bear Solar Observatory.
- Help to supervise graduate and undergraduate students.
- Present results in professional conferences.

Prerequisite Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in solar or space
physics
-Some Knowledge of
Machine Learning.
- At the university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites
may be exempted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the
university, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically
preparing the candidate for success in the position.
