TRISTAR is seeking several Information Technology System Engineer (Tactical) - (MID) for our upcoming government customer in Coronado, CA & Virginia Beach, VA
- The Information Technology System Engineer (Tactical) - (MID) will support PEO SDA, USSOCOM Components, TSOCs, and others to include Foreign Military Sales (FMS) as mission dictates, by providing technical and analytical mission planning, execution, and post-mission system support
- Mission planning is critical to special operations, the mission planning, execution, post-mission system/device will be maintained in a serviceable status to support combat/contingency operations
- The overall goal will be to achieve a system/device availability of 95% and a maintenance turnaround time of less than 24 hours from the time of notification within Continental United States (CONUS) and manned Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) locations
- Support will be characterized by two (2) levels: Level I (Critical/Urgent) support will be defined as critical or emergency support to the mission planning and execution system/device. This level of support will be completed within 72 hours or as mission requirements dictate
- Level II (Routine) support will be defined as cyclical support to the mission planning and execution system/device. This level of support will be completed within 30 days or as mission requirements dictate
Position Responsibilities
- Install, test, and support Microsoft Windows and Android based systems
- Design, build, brief, and deploy Tactical Land Area Network (TACLAN) Images as well as inventory, track, and resolve usability and configuration issues of new TACLAN Images
- Responsible for scanning, remediating, rescanning, and reporting to cognizant authority the status of Category I vulnerabilities in Support of the accreditation of new TACLAN Images in addition to downloading, installing, and verifying Microsoft Updates in support of TACLAN Images
- Generate documentation necessary to receive an Interim Authority to Operate (IATO), build small test networks in support of Network Security Vulnerability scanning, troubleshoot client/server and network, and conduct testing, quality assurance, and drafting test plans for functional testing and accreditation
- Responsible for drafting Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documents, accreditation documentation, and conduct peer review of documents created by others
Requirements
- 4 years System Administrator experience
- 2 years Microsoft Automation experience
- At least 1 year experience with testing, quality assurance, and drafting test plans for functional testing and accreditation
- 1 year experience in an ITIL IT Service Organization
- Ability to construct documentation necessary to receive an Interim Authority to Operate (IATO)
- Strong client/server and network troubleshooting skills
- Experience with VPN and PKI technologies
- Scripting experience in Batch, VBScript, PowerShell V1/2, and AutoIT
- Possess Technical Writing skills to include drafting Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documents, accreditation documentation, and peer review of documents created by others
- MUST be a US Citizen
- An ACTIVE Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility is required
Education and/or Certification
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology or Computer science, OR 4 years' experience in Information Technology or Computer related fields in lieu of degree
- ITIL v3 Certification
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification required
