Inova Fairfax Medical Campus is looking for a dedicated Surgical Technologist 2 to join the Labor & Delivery team. This role is scheduled to work M-F 8am-4pm, and up to 16 hours of call in 6 weeks in CS OR. Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance for those eligible

Surgical Technologist 2 Responsibilities:

• The Surgical Technologist 2 demonstrates advanced knowledge and practice in the role of the first scrub.
• Demonstrates advanced knowledge of aseptic and surgical technique.
• Demonstrates responsible behavior as a healthcare professional. Identifies variances from expected outcomes and responds to changes in patient needs.
• The Surgical Technologist 2 demonstrates knowledge and practice of basic patient care concepts.
• Anticipates the needs of the surgeon, which includes passing instruments, sutures, and other items appropriate to the procedure.
• Serves as a resource in at least 2 specialty areas/procedures.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.

Surgical Technologist 2 Requirements:

• Work Schedule: Full-time Day Shift M-F 8am-4pm
• Education: High School diploma or equivalent
• Experience: 1 years of Surgical Technologist experience
• Certification: Basic Life Support from American Heart Association required upon start.
• License: Registered Surgical Technologist required upon start
