The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Software Engineer to develop embedded control software for HVAC products. This role includes control board development, system verification, and communication integration. Candidates should have experience with C-based microcontroller programming and an interest in HVAC or building automation. As a technical expert in LG's proprietary control and integration solutions, the engineer will support product development and help identify market opportunities in line with industry trends.

As the Controls Software Engineer, you will:



  • Design, develop, test, and debug embedded software for HVAC control systems.
  • Implement control logic and algorithms.
  • Build test environments and conduct logic testing and validation - (unit and system-level testing).
  • Perform pre-launch verification, issue analysis, and coordinate with field support teams.
  • Create technical documentation and ensure alignment with HQ through close collaboration.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Control Engineering, or related fields
  • Experience in embedded systems development using C language.
  • Experience designing and debugging software for microcontroller-based products.
  • Basic understanding of HVAC systems or control logic.
  • Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
  • Bilingual communication skills in Korean and English are required.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (domestic/international).
  • Eligible to work in the United States without Sponsorship


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience and understanding of real-time control systems.
  • Understanding of communication protocols such as Modbus, BACnet, UART, RS485.
  • Experience developing control algorithms for HVAC applications.
  • Experience with PC-based software development tools such as Visual Basic, C#, and JAVA.
  • Experience using source code management and project management tools such as Git and Jira.
  • Experience collaborating with HQ in Korea or participating in global projects.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively with an understanding of global culture.



Recruiting Range
$65,000 - $65,000 USD
