Tactical Air Support Inc. Senior Tactical Systems Analyst (NAVAIR Product Developer) Patuxent River, MD Salary range: $64.00 - $88.00 per hour DOE Position Summary We are immediately seeking a Subject Matter Expert to join ouramotivated Advanced Capabilities and Expert Solutions (ACES)aDivision to serve as a Flight Clearance Product Developer for F/A-18 A-D TMS permanent flight clearances. This position is located on-site in Patuxent River, MD and is assigned to PMA-265. Responsibilities
- Involved in all aspects of airworthiness product development for the F-18 series of aircraft
- Develop content and execute updates for Naval Aviation Technical Information Publication (NATIP) flight clearance publications
- Create transition plans to incorporate Interim Flight Clearance content into NATIP
- Coordinate and conduct planning meetings to incorporate new content into NATIP
- Maintain records of all flight clearance actions, including issued, expired, and in-progress clearances
- Coordinate with Weapon System Experts and Subject Matter Experts to ensure product currency
- Maintain reports for content requirements traceability and defects against the products
- Author new NATIP content
- Coordinate with editing and graphic artist teams
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Science or a related discipline; an advanced degree is preferred. A combination of background, education, and training may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of eight years as F/A-18 TMS aircrew (Pilot or WSO). SFTI qualification preferred.
- Familiarity and expertise with F/A-18 TMS mission planning and training systems.
- Prior professional US Military Aviation experience.
- Experience with NATIP publications.
- Travel (20%) required to various work sites throughout the U.S.
- Valid state driver's license.
- U.S. citizenship with a current and active Secret security clearance, with TS/SCI eligibility.
- Ability to maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
Desired Experience/Skills
- Proficient with Airworthiness enterprise tools (ePower/AIRS), processes, and procedures in developing flight clearance product content, generating requests, overseeing the flight clearance review process, and finalizing/releasing the flight clearance products to the Airworthiness and Cybersafe Office (ACO).
- Enthusiasm and commitment to a working environment that requires intense collaboration, robust communication, and coordination with various FA-18E/F and EA-18G operational squadrons, test squadrons, program offices, and tactical centers of excellence.
- Familiarity or experience with the U.S. Armed Forces and Department of Defense (DoD) federal contractors and the aerospace, defense, or commercial aviation industry.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to conduct professional, in-person training for large and small groups of aircrew with varied experience levels.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize workload to maintain schedules, deadlines, and standards on assigned projects.
- Knowledge of Aircraft Flight Manuals.
- Ability to teach and train others on the Airworthiness process.
- SAP program eligibility is advantageous.
