Job Summary

The Campus Life department is currently in the process of elections for Student RSOC Executive Board Member positions to join their team of professionals.

The following positions are:

  • President
  • Modesto Maidique Campus (MMC) Vice President
  • Biscayne Bay Campus (BBC) Vice President
  • Finance and Administration Director
  • Marketing Director

Duties to include:

  • Serve as a part of the leadership of the Registered Student Organizations Council (RSOC).
  • Plan, manage and support the programming efforts of RSOC.
  • Attend all posted office hours, mandatory events, Advisor, Executive Board, General Board, and General Body meetings.
  • Participate in all RSOC activities including, but not limited to, recruitment and retention.
  • Participate in training and development activities.
  • Prepare and submit event checklists, worksheets, event attendance reports, and any other required documents for all events and programs hosted on behalf of RSOC.
  • Maintain all records of activities to serve as a guideline for future efforts.
  • Monitor all expenses on behalf of RSOC to ensure fiscal responsibility.
  • Serve as RSOC representative for collaborative efforts and on university-wide committees as needed.
  • Serve the Modesto Maidique Campus (MMC), the Engineering Center (EC) and the Biscayne Bay Campus (BBC).
Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled in at least 9 undergraduate credit hours, 6 graduate credit hours, or 3 doctoral credit hours for the Fall and Spring semesters. Seniors taking final credits towards graduation may be exempt at the discretion of the RSOC advisor.
  • Must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
  • Must be in good standing with Student Conduct.
  • Must be available to attend all Executive Board, 1:1s, and General Body meetings.
  • Must be on the Executive Board for one (1) year to serve as President. In the event there is no applicant who has been a member of the Executive Board for a year, the decision is at the discretion of the RSOC Advisor.

  • Applicants must be currently enrolled as a student at FIU with a minimum of six (6) credits as an Undergraduate student or three (3) credits as a Graduate student during the Fall and Spring semesters.
  • During the Summer semesters, Students need only remain enrolled and are not required to take credit hours, but cannot have graduated.
  • Upon decreasing credit hours or graduating, student employment must end.

Advertised Salary

$14.00/hour to $14.75/hour
