Lead Pharmacy Technician - Full time - Days

Overview

Job Summary:

Performs management functions related to technical staff. Manages critical support processes vital to pharmacy operations including unit dose, sterile products, and pharmacy/lab courier service. Communicates with unit/department managers regarding technical pharmacy issues. Supervises pharmacy technicians (I, II, & 111) and pharmacy/lab couriers.

Education, Experience and Training:

Must be a High School or GED Diploma Graduate. Completion of 2 years at an accredited college or equivalent work experience. Completion of at least one course of algebra (or higher math equivalent), and one course of chemistry or biology.

Eight (8) years as pharmacy technician or minimum five (5) years with 3 years experience supervising 10 or more employees.

Certified Pharmacy Technician and registration with the Georgia State Board of Pharmacy is required.
