Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Associate Director - Clinical Research Systems.

In this role, the successful candidate oversees the delivery of technology solutions supporting all Clinical Research IT systems. The Associate Director leads a growing team of individuals to support single-site and multi-site projects including product management, IT support, and new implementations.
The Associate Director evaluates requests and proposals for new user stories, system requirements, upgrades, integrations, and enhancements to products and systems used to support the Clinical Research mission of NYU Langone Health. The Associate Director applies technical and business knowledge to provide guidance to the team guidance to the team and develops Quality Assurance (QA) initiatives to ensure system and data integrity. The candidate will adopt a product management mindset to ensure the successful delivery of digital solutions.

Job Responsibilities:

    • The Associate Director of Clinical Research will work with the MCIT leadership to be responsible for the implementation and operations of all aspects of clinical research systems for NYU Langone Health including product management, adoption, implementation, support, and operations.
    • Evangelize products and become the subject matter expert for internal audiences, external customers, and market-facing communications
    • Recruit, mentor, measure and manage teams of IT professionals and leaders to support the Clinical Research mission.
    • Employ product management mindset in order to ensure the successful delivery of Clinical Research products such as Clinical Research Management Systems, Clinical Trials Management Systems, EDC (Electronic Data Capturing), eConsent, Regulatory eBinders, etc. Support existing systems like Advarra CCE, REDCap, TrialMaster.
    • Drive integrations to systems such as Epic and Huron Research Suite to deliver new capabilities for research participants, study team and investigator digital experiences.
    • Evaluate sponsor requirements and study team needs for novel technologies and lead execution and delivery of solutions with partnership across the MCIT teams including Architecture, Security and Clinical Applications.
    • Develop appropriate performance metrics for project evaluation and acceptance
    • Responsible for resource allocation, managing assignments, and overseeing work for new implementations (new system roll-out or new functionality) and maintenance/support of products.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related information systems degree with seven years of related experience;
Clinical Research systems experience required.
Demonstrated experience in Project Management is required.
Strong analytical skills to analyze, a categorize and translate business/user requirements to functional requirements

Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Computer Science or related information systems degree with five years of related experience.
Experience in Academic Medical Center or Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences Organizations.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $138,098.48 - $164,964.80 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
