Inova Health is looking for a dedicated Sr. Reimbursement and Cost-Reporting Specialist to join the team. This role will be full-time Remote from Monday - Friday. This position will be responsible for managing and directing the preparation and review of preliminary & filed Medicare and Medicaid cost reports. Sr. Reimbursement and Cost-Reporting Specialist Job Responsibilities:
- Directs development & illustrates the impact of proposed & final Federal/State regulations to staff and senior Management.
- Directs the preparation of reimbursement studies as needed by senior management.
- Manages & directs the preparation and review of preliminary & filed Medicare/Medicaid cost reports and reviews settlements for accuracy and impact
- Research regulations related to the implementation of new programs, services, & ventures and develops techniques for maximizing reimbursement
- Directs the development of contractual allowances for budget projections & monthly & year-end financial statements.
- Coordinates the support & documentation needed by independent, Medicare, and Medicaid auditors
- Manages, directs & develops Medicare/Medicaid appeals
Sr Reimbursement and Cost-Reporting Specialist Additional Requirements:
- Work schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration or accounting.
- Experience: 4 or more years of reimbursement experience in a healthcare setting with comprehensive knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement.
Sr Reimbursement and Cost-Reporting Specialist Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong excel skills working with large databases
- Microsoft Access experience
- Cost reporting and Medicare Enrollment Application (CMS-855A) experience
