Description Responsible for delivery of quality care for critically ill or injured in the air medical or ground transportation environment without supervision. Highly skilled in airway management, the most important skill in managing the pediatric specialty population, as this is the most prevalent type of pediatric patient moved, and the highest number of our requested transports. Responsible for the implementation, coordination, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures found in Covenant Health System policy and procedure manuals. Maintains a responsible attitude toward appropriate and efficient management of medical operations within the scope of services of the Specialty Transport Program. Flight Paramedic must be able to interact with physicians and alternative healthcare facilities. The Flight Paramedic must be highly motivated and able to care for patients using assessment skills and written standards when physician contact is not possible. This role will also be responsible for participating in advanced medical treatment modalities as directed by Medical Director and Coordinator of Specialty Transport. This role will assist with continuing education in the community as well as education and training of future Flight Paramedics. Providence caregivers are not simply valued - they're invaluable.
