Shifts to be filled:

Sundays: 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm, 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Mondays - Thursdays: 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm, 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Fridays: Calling and day hours - up to management's discretion
Location: Nunn Hall Room 310/311

Student Philanthropy Ambassadors must work a minimum of ten hours each week.
Job Description
Student Philanthropy Ambassadors contact NKU alumni, parents, and friends using phone, text, and video to support and engage with the university through giving, volunteering, and event attendance.
Ambassadors serve as professional representatives of Northern Kentucky University. They are expected to accurately record conversations, complete a set number of shifts each week and meet or exceed goals outlined by the Engagement Center Manager.
Student Philanthropy Ambassadors will gain experience in marketing, networking, fundraising, and sales negotiations.

Primary Responsibilities
Successfully solicit monetary donations from NKU Alumni;

Exercise effective communication skills to demonstrate knowledge of and enthusiasm for NKU, its benefits and programs;

Build relationships with alumni and encourage them to stay connected with their alma mater;

Record data accurately with confidentiality (i.e. new donor information, complaints, gift amounts, etc.);

Meet phonathon performance standards (each caller will be assigned personal "money" and "donor" goals each night);

Provide feedback about phonathon to the staff;

Accept constructive feedback/coaching from the Development student interns and staff.

Must be able to work a minimum of two nights per week and attend paid training.
Qualifications
Ability to speak English clearly and communicate effectively by telephone; Use patience, tact and diplomacy, demonstrate leadership, professionalism, initiative, and have a positive and respectful attitude;

Ability to work effectively in a team;

Familiarity with NKU campus, activities, and history;

Exhibit a courteous and engaging personality;

Must be dependable, able to work evening hours and possess the ability to present facts in concise and persuasive manner.

All applicants must be enrolled as an NKU student in at least 6 credit hours, in good academic standing and must be able to manage school work load and job hours.
