  • Implement inventory optimization strategies including safety stock, kanban, min/max planning, and just-in-time (JIT) practices where appropriate.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy through strong transaction discipline, cycle counting, and process control.
  • Ensure full traceability and configuration control for all materials and components.

Supplier & Procurement Management

  • Source, evaluate, onboard, and manage aerospace-qualified suppliers in compliance with AS9100 and customer requirements.
  • Negotiate pricing, lead times, contracts, and supplier agreements to support cost, quality, and delivery objectives.
  • Monitor supplier performance using KPIs such as on-time delivery, quality, responsiveness, and cost competitiveness.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks including sole-source dependencies, long lead-time materials, and capacity constraints.
  • Logistics & Compliance
  • Oversee inbound and outbound logistics, freight management, shipping compliance, and customs requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards, export regulations (ITAR/EAR), and internal quality systems.
  • Support internal and external audits, customer reviews, and regulatory inspections.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop supply chain personnel across planning, procurement, inventory control, and logistics functions.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, collaboration, and data-driven decision making.
  • Establish clear goals, performance expectations, and development plans for team members.
  • Build organizational capability by developing strong processes, scalable systems, and future leaders within the department.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive supply chain, planning, procurement, or operations experience within aerospace, defense, or a regulated manufacturing environment.
