About this Role - Civil Operations Analyst We are looking for a talented Operations Analyst who has a passion for quality construction. This position is responsible for supporting organizational growth and operational excellence through the analysis of business, project, financial, and market data. Also responsible for recommending strategies that optimize operational performance in alignment with company objectives. This Operations Analyst position will develop and maintain key performance metrics, identify opportunities for process improvement, and provide actionable insights that support strategic planning, project execution, and profitability across the organization. What You'll Do - Develop, maintain, and analyze operational, financial, and project performance metrics and dashboards - including schedule, cost, resource utilization, and forecast accuracy on project portfolio reviews - ensuring data integrity and reporting consistency across business intelligence platforms, to support executive decision-making. - Collaborate with MJE internal support groups to ensure seamless compliance with company policies and procedures. - Evaluate operational workflows and develop standardized procedures, including database management practices tailored to the Civil teams, recommending process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives that increase efficiency, reduce costs, and apply industry best practices and project management methodologies. - Keep group updated on all Quanta/MJE Apps and software programs and training. - Analyze business trends, project data, customer information, and market conditions - through forecasting, scenario modeling, and business performance evaluations - to identify opportunities for growth, efficiency, and risk mitigation, supporting the execution and communication of the company Strategic Plan and operational objectives. - Partner with Operations, Project Management, Estimating, and Business Development teams - and work closely with department leaders - to understand business needs, improve reporting and planning, and develop data-driven solutions that improve overall business performance. - Track and report on business development metrics, bid activity, win rates, and backlog trends to support growth objectives. - Analyze labor, equipment, subcontractor, and material utilization trends and make recommendations to improve operational effectiveness. - Prepare presentations, executive summaries, and business recommendations for leadership teams. What You'll Bring - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities, with the capacity to collect, organize, and interpret complex data sets. - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and other business intelligence tools, with a strong understanding of KPI and dashboard development. - Knowledge of project management principles and continuous improvement methodologies. - Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. - Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple functional areas. - Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound business judgment. - Experience with ERP systems, reporting databases, and business intelligence platforms preferred. - Knowledge of utility construction, electrical contracting, energy infrastructure, or project-based construction environments preferred. - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Data Analytics, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. - 4-7 years of related experience in business operations, financial analysis, project controls, data analytics, construction operations, or a related field.
