Job Duties



  • Process and manage customer purchase orders and sales orders
  • Utilize SAP for order management, customer service, inventory inquiries, returns, and related functions
  • Monitor order fulfillment, backorders, shipments, and delivery schedules
  • Coordinate with warehouse and internal teams regarding order status and shipment needs
  • Respond to customer questions and provide timely updates regarding orders
  • Process customer returns, cancellations, excess inventory requests, and related issues
  • Handle freight and parcel claims and assist with resolving customer concerns
  • Maintain accurate order and customer information in company systems
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with customers, sales representatives, warehouse personnel, and other departments
  • Provide excellent customer service while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail



Education Requirements



  • High school diploma or GED preferred unless otherwise specified.
  • Additional education, certifications, or vocational training may be beneficial depending on the position.



Experience Requirements



  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Commitment to quality, safety, professionalism, and dependable attendance.
  • Ability to learn new processes, procedures, equipment, or software as required.
  • xperience processing customer purchase orders and sales orders in a manufacturing, distribution, warehouse, or industrial environment
  • Hands-on SAP experience for order entry, inventory inquiries, customer service, returns processing, and order management
  • Experience managing backorders, shipment coordination, freight claims, parcel claims, returns, and customer requests
  • Strong data entry, 10-key by touch, and typing skills (60-65+ WPM preferred)
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills



Preferred Qualifications



  • Previous experience in a related industry or similar position is preferred.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, customer-focused, manufacturing, warehouse, administrative, or professional environments is beneficial depending on the assignment.
  • Relevant certifications, technical training, or specialized skills are considered an asset.
  • Individuals who demonstrate adaptability, professionalism, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn are well positioned for success as a Sales Order Processor.
