Network Infrastructure Cable Technician (Direct Hire)

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00/hr (Based on Experience)

Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday-Friday


Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Technical training in telecommunications, networking, low-voltage systems, or related field is a plus.


Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in low-voltage cabling, network infrastructure installation, or telecommunications systems.
  • Experience installing, terminating, testing, and troubleshooting structured cabling systems.
  • Knowledge of CCTV installation, server room cabling, network racks, and data infrastructure.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, and network layouts preferred.


Physical Capabilities

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces throughout the workday.
  • Comfortable using power tools, testing equipment, and hand tools.
  • Ability to work in office, commercial, industrial, and data center environments.
  • Must be able to safely perform installation work at various heights when needed.


Job Duties

  • Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot low-voltage cabling systems for voice, data, and network infrastructure.
  • Install and service CCTV, security, and surveillance systems.
  • Perform structured cabling installations in server rooms, data centers, and commercial facilities.
  • Route, label, organize, and document network cables according to industry standards.
  • Test cable performance and diagnose connectivity issues using industry testing equipment.
  • Assist with network rack installation, cable management, and equipment setup.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings to complete installations accurately.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment while following company and customer standards.
  • Communicate project status, issues, and solutions with customers, team members, and management.
