Now hiring for a Design Engineer Location: Hartford, AL Pay Rate: $70,000-$80,000 annually Schedule: Regular Business Hours Design Innovation, Manufacturing Excellence Looking for a Design Engineer role in Hartford, AL where you lead product innovation? Advantage Technical is hiring on behalf of a leading commercial HVAC manufacturer seeking a Senior Design Engineer to drive product development from concept through production launch. You'll supervise a talented drafting team, design complex mechanical systems using CAD, and partner with manufacturing and quality teams to deliver cutting-edge solutions. Job Duties Design mechanical components for product development using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD Develop engineering drawings, assembly documentation, and bills of materials Conduct product testing, performance analysis, and cost evaluation Supervise drafting team and manage engineering workloads and priorities Coordinate prototype fabrication and testing activities Support manufacturing operations with troubleshooting and continuous improvement Create CNC programming files and manufacturing layouts Assist with product launches and production implementation Education Requirements Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field Experience Requirements 1+ years of engineering, design, drafting, or manufacturing experience Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications Experience with sheet metal fabrication or aluminum extrusions HVAC product or manufacturing environment experience CNC programming experience with AlphaCAM Physical Capabilities Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds Ability to stand, walk, and work in manufacturing facility Occasional travel to facilities or suppliers as needed Benefits vary and are offered by our client.
