A well-established law firm is seeking a Floating Legal Administrative Assistant to join its St. Louis office. This position will provide administrative support across several practice areas, including corporate, construction, labor & employment, and trusts & estates.

Responsibilities


  • Provide administrative support to attorneys across multiple practice areas.



  • Help manage attorney workflow, deadlines, priorities, and day-to-day administrative needs.



  • Coordinate calendars, meetings, travel arrangements, time entry, and transcription.



  • Handle electronic court filings in Missouri and Illinois.



  • Maintain case and matter files within the firm's document management system.



  • Draft, edit, format, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and other materials.



  • Assist attorneys and paralegals with additional administrative projects and assignments as needed.



  • Manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy, organization, and responsiveness.




Qualifications


  • 1+ years of legal administrative assistant experience within a law firm environment preferred.



  • Experience supporting litigation, estate planning, or similar legal practice areas is highly desirable.



  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as Adobe.



  • Experience with legal document management systems and time-entry software preferred.



  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.



  • Excellent attention to detail and strong proofreading skills.



  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.



  • Ability to be resourceful, flexible, and efficient while managing a high volume of priorities.



  • Strong professionalism, discretion, and ability to handle confidential information.



  • Recent paralegal certificate graduates may also be considered with at least one year of legal administrative experience.
