What You'll Do

  • Provide expert consultation and care for patients with complex wounds, pressure injuries, fistulas, drains, tubes, and other skin integrity concerns.
  • Develop individualized care plans that support healing and optimize patient outcomes.
  • Educate and support patients and families before and after ostomy surgery, helping them successfully adapt both physically and emotionally.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care.
  • Serve as a clinical resource for nursing staff by recommending evidence-based interventions to prevent and manage skin breakdown.
  • Partner with Nursing Education to provide orientation, training, and ongoing professional development for caregivers.
  • Support inpatient and outpatient wound, ostomy, and continence care services, including outpatient ostomy clinics when applicable.
