Job Title: Landscape Crew Leader Location: Northern Bay Area Pay: $25-$35/hour (DOE) About Us BBSI is overseeing the recruitment efforts for a client based in the Northern Bay Area. They are a high-quality landscape design and construction company based in Novato, CA, specializing in custom residential and commercial outdoor spaces. With a focus on craftsmanship, teamwork, and customer satisfaction, we're looking for a dependable and experienced Crew Leader to help us deliver exceptional results on every project. Position Summary The Crew Leader is responsible for supervising and working alongside a crew to ensure the successful execution of landscaping projects, including hardscape, softscape, planting, irrigation, and lighting installations. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in landscape construction, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to safety and quality. Key Responsibilities Lead and work with a crew to complete landscape construction and installation projects Read and interpret design plans, blueprints, and specifications Coordinate daily tasks, tools, and materials to meet project deadlines Perform and oversee work such as grading, paver and stone installation, planting, irrigation, and low-voltage lighting Ensure high standards of quality, cleanliness, and craftsmanship Maintain safe work practices and enforce company safety protocols Communicate clearly with project managers and clients when needed Train and mentor crew members to improve skills and efficiency Track time, materials, and progress for reporting and payroll Qualifications 3+ years of hands-on landscape construction experience 1+ year in a supervisory or crew lead role preferred Proficient in hardscape and softscape techniques Ability to operate common landscaping equipment (e.g., skid steers, compactors, saws) Strong organizational and communication skills Reliable transportation to and from job sites in the North Bay Valid CA driver's license and clean driving record preferred Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus Compensation & Benefits Hourly wage: $25-$35/hour, depending on experience Overtime available when needed Opportunity for advancement and wage growth Supportive team environment with consistent, year-round work Job Type: Full-time Benefits: Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off
