Chemist - Laboratory Operations and Data Location: The Woodlands, TX Contract: 6 months, with potential extension Pay: $35-$40/hour Target Start: October 2026 About the Role We're seeking a Chemist to support day-to-day laboratory operations for a chemical R&D organization. This position will focus on keeping laboratory samples, analytical information, and data systems organized and accurate. What You'll Do Coordinate and track laboratory samples and related information Review analytical results for completeness, accuracy, and quality Maintain and update laboratory data and records Work with LIMS and other laboratory information systems Support laboratory quality and documentation processes Partner with scientists and laboratory personnel to resolve data or sample issues Use Excel and other Microsoft Office tools for reporting and data management What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Science, or a related field Previous experience working in a laboratory setting Understanding of analytical data and laboratory quality practices Experience with LIMS or similar systems is a plus Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Good written and verbal communication Comfortable working with Excel and Microsoft Office Chemical, petrochemical, or industrial laboratory experience is preferred Note: This is an initial 6-month contract assignment with the possibility of extension.
