| Position Highlights |
The Expert Coordinator of MS and Doctoral Programs and Career Development provides leadership, administration, and operational management for MS and doctoral programs within the College of Public Health, including main campus, online, hybrid, and global programs. The position serves as the primary point of contact for MS and doctoral students, faculty, Office of Student Affairs team, and university partners and is responsible for enhancing student success, persistence, academic progress, and post-graduation outcomes. The position integrates MS and doctoral program administration with comprehensive student support and career development to promote graduate student success across the student lifecycle. Responsibilities include academic program coordination, student advising and support, career coaching and development programming, employer engagement, and coordination with university-level career services. Working collaboratively with academic leadership, faculty program directors, and university partners, the position supports students from recruitment and enrollment through academic progression, degree completion, and preparation for their next professional or academic opportunity The position reports to the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs and works in close collaboration with the Vice Dean for Education & Faculty Affairs to ensure alignment between MS and doctoral program administration, academic priorities, and student success. The position also works closely with faculty program directors, the Office of Student Affairs, and other College and University partners to support the academic progression and overall experience of MS and doctoral students.

| Duties & Responsibilities |
MS and Doctoral Program Administration and Student Support Academic Operations and Program Management:
- Manage day-to-day operations of doctoral programs across on campus, online, and international modalities.
- Coordinate, onboarding, orientation, registration, academic progression, and graduation processes.
- Collaborate with Sr. Coordinator of Graduate Admissions.
- Monitor student milestones including:
- Plan of study approvals
- Qualifying/comprehensive examinations
- Dissertation proposal defenses
- Dissertation completion
- Graduation clearance
- Maintain accurate student records and program databases.
- Prepare reports related to enrollment, retention, time-to-degree, completion rates, and student outcomes.
- Assist with accreditation activities and assessment reporting.
- Develop and maintain doctoral program policies, handbooks, and student resources.
Student Support:
- Serve as a primary student services contact for MS and doctoral students.
- Guide students through academic policies and administrative procedures.
- Identify and address barriers to retention, progression, and completion.
- Connect students with academic support, wellness resources, disability services, and university offices as needed.
- Facilitate conflict resolution and policy interpretation in collaboration with faculty and administration.
Online and Global Program Collaboration:
- Coordinate support services for online and international doctoral students.
- Ensure consistency of student experiences across learning modalities.
- Collaborate with instructional design and technology teams to support online learners.
- Collaborate with the Global Health Institute on global partnerships and international student engagement activities when applicable.
- Support international recruitment, onboarding, and student success initiatives.
Faculty and Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Support doctoral program directors and faculty committees.
- Coordinate meetings, communications, and committee activities.
- Assist with doctoral student funding, assistantships, and scholarship administration.
- Collaborate with admissions, registrar, graduate school, institutional research, and international services.
Career Development and Professional Preparation:
- Individual Career Counseling, assist students in:

- Resume and CV development
- Cover letter preparation
- Interview preparation

- Career Development Programming
- Develop and implement career development workshops and seminars.

University Career Services Collaboration:
- Serve as liaison between the College of Public Health and University Career Services.
- Promote awareness and utilization of university-wide career resources.
- Coordinate access to:
- Career assessment tools
- Job boards and recruiting platforms
- Employer relations programs
- Mock interview services
- Career readiness initiatives
- Facilitate referral pathways between college-level and university-level career support services.
Employer Engagement:
- Build partnerships with public health employers locally, nationally, and globally.
- Identify and communicate internship, fellowship, and employment opportunities.
- Work with our alumni office to engage alumni as mentors, speakers, and career resources.
- Track employment outcomes and contribute to workforce development initiatives.

- Development, implementation, and utilization of career development programming and resources.
- Contributions to graduate career readiness and post-graduation outcomes, including collection and tracking of relevant outcome data.
- Effective collaboration with University Career Services, Alumni Affairs, employers, faculty, and other partners to expand career development opportunities.
- Effective support of online, global, and other graduate student populations.
- Successful implementation and continuous improvement of College and University initiatives related to graduate student success and career development.

| Minimum Qualifications |
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
- 5 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

| Preferred Qualifications |
- Master's degree or doctoral degree (DrPH, PhD, EdD, or equivalent) in Public Health, Higher Education Administration, Student Affairs, Counseling, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Three to five years of experience in higher education, graduate education, student affairs, academic program management, career services, or related areas.
- Experience advising graduate or doctoral students.
- Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.
- Experience working with online, and international student populations.
- Experience in public health education.
- Career counseling or career coaching certification.
- Experience supporting doctoral students and dissertation processes.
- Experience with student information systems and learning management systems.
- Knowledge of CEPH accreditation and graduate education policies.
