Facilities Maintenance Mechanic

Pay Range per hour $23.00 - $27.00

Position Summary:

The Facility Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the routine care and preventative maintenance of buildings, grounds and equipment for multiple sites.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

1.Responsible for routinely performing the following functions:



  • Repair walls, doors and windows.
  • Make minor repairs to equipment and appliances.
  • Perform carpentry tasks.
  • Perform minor plumbing maintenance tasks.
  • Install replacement light bulbs and perform minor electrical preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Inspect emergency lighting and other systems.
  • Respond to emerging urgent matters through-out the operating day.
  • Respond to emergencies on an as needed basis.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to building mechanical systems.
  • Detect, inspect and trouble shoot building issues, equipment and grounds and take necessary corrective action as needed or inform supervisor when unable to.
  • Perform seasonal ground care tasks on an as needed basis. This includes raking, sweeping, shoveling snow, applying ice melt material and mowing.


2.Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies.

3.Occasional opening and closing of buildings during off hours.

4.As directed work with/coordinate the work of contracted service providers.

5.Uphold the values of CTI - Equity, Integrity, Compassion.

The duties listed above are representative of the work performed. Other related duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:



  1. High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  2. 1 Year of related experience in building and grounds/custodial fields required.
  3. Ability to lift up to 70 Lbs.
  4. Must have reliable transportation.
  5. Valid Driver's License required.
  6. Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
  7. Ability to work a flexible schedule.
  8. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  9. Sensitive to the work environment.
  10. Bilingual skills preferred.

The base salary range represents the Agency's good-faith estimate of the compensation for this role at the time of posting. Actual compensation within the range will be based on factors such as experience, skills, and qualifications.
