| Essential Job Duties |
In this role you will lead NC State's efforts to recruit, admit and enroll transfer students, developing strategies, partnerships and pathways that support annual transfer enrollment goals and align with University priorities. As a part of our recruitment team, you will travel and represent the Office of Undergraduate Admissions extensively, presenting information and guidance to students, families and key stakeholders, including high school counselors, transfer advisers, North Carolina Community College partners and University faculty and staff.
You will also provide strategic and operational leadership for
Wolfpack Connect, a guaranteed transfer admission program at NC State. Responsibilities include managing community college partnerships, communicating with prospective and program participants, evaluating and making decisions on students' eligibility, overseeing the transition of participants into the transfer admission pipeline and promoting the program to internal and external audiences.
As Associate Director of Transfer you will also review transfer applicant credentials and make admissions decisions, working closely with the Undergraduate Admissions operations team to ensure decisions are accurately processed and released. The role provides leadership and training to staff involved in transfer application review and communicates admissions policies and procedures to key stakeholders. This role combines recruitment strategy, partnership development, student engagement and admissions expertise, with extensive travel throughout North Carolina.
Other responsibilities include:
- Represent NC State to prospective students, families and key stakeholders through campus visits, college fairs, community college visits and virtual and in-person events and workshops.
- Counsel prospective students and families on NC State programs, admissions standards, policies and procedures.
- Travel in-state and out-of-state and deliver presentations to a variety of audiences to support recruitment and enrollment goals.
- Review transfer and first-year applicant credentials and make appropriate admissions decisions in accordance with University standards and policies.
- Provide strategic leadership for transfer recruitment, admissions and enrollment initiatives across on-campus, off-campus and virtual environments.
- Build and strengthen transfer student pipelines through targeted recruitment strategies, partnerships, and engagement with colleges, departments, University committees and other stakeholders.
- Develop, implement and refine transfer recruitment strategies aligned with University goals, using data and best practices to evaluate progress and inform decisions.
- Create and share recruitment and enrollment reports, goals and insights to assess outcomes and guide future strategies.
- Collaborate with admissions staff and campus partners to share transfer recruitment and admissions best practices and provide training on transfer application review.
- Supervise one to two direct reports and contribute to staff development, performance management, training and leadership team initiatives.
This is an opportunity to shape the transfer student experience at NC State by strengthening pathways, partnerships and recruitment strategies that connect students with the opportunities of a leading public research university. |
| Other Responsibilities |
- The position is primarily based on campus and includes regular travel throughout North Carolina. Some remote work may be available based on seasonal recruitment and admissions needs.
- In addition to the core responsibilities of this role, there may be occasional opportunities to take on additional duties. This offers an opportunity to build on your skills, explore new areas and gain a deeper understanding of the department's operations.
