Job Summary


Key Responsibilities


Operational Oversight & Quality



  • Oversee daily GSOC operations, ensuring readiness for incident response, crisis support, and business disruption events.
  • Ensure supervisors and staff are aware of relevant intelligence, events, and risk indicators that may impact people, facilities, and operations.
  • Direct and review audits of staff performance, protocols, SOPs, directives, and system usage to ensure compliance and uniformity.
  • Review and approve afteraction reviews, incident reports, shift logs, and SITREPs, driving followup actions to close gaps.
  • Define and prioritize projects and initiatives related to GSOC processes, systems, and tooling (e.g., incident management, access control, CCTV, and alerting platforms).


People Leadership & Development



  • Lead, mentor, and develop GSOC Supervisors and Analysts, fostering a culture of accountability, inclusion, and high performance.
  • Oversee recruiting, hiring, scheduling, performance management, and recognition for GSOC staff and vendor teams.
  • Conduct regular checkins, performance reviews, and career development discussions, setting clear expectations and goals.
  • Ensure delivery of training and certification programs, including onboarding, refresher training, and scenariobased exercises.
  • Build a safe and secure culture, emphasizing incident prevention, effective response, and strong customer service.


Stakeholder Engagement & Communication



  • Serve as the primary GSOC point of contact for internal partners and leadership on operational matters.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with security, facilities, HR, Legal, CRE, IT, regional leadership, and thirdparty security providers.
  • Share metrics, trends, and insights regularly with stakeholders; clearly communicate wins, risks, and areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate with external public safety and emergency services as needed in support of major incidents and planned events.
  • Represent the GSOC in Global Security meetings, working groups, and committees, contributing operational insights and recommendations.


Metrics, Risk & Continuous Improvement



  • Own GSOC metrics and dashboards, including incident volumes, response times, alarm performance, and system health.
  • Analyze data from GSOC platforms (e.g., access control, video management, risk intelligence, visitor management, incident management) to inform decisions.
  • Drive rootcause analysis and corrective actions following significant events, system failures, or process breakdowns.
  • Identify and prioritize operational and technology improvements, partnering with regional and HQ teams to execute.
  • Ensure regulatory, contractual, and policy compliance, keeping SOPs, playbooks, and documentation current and aligned with best practices.


Basic Qualifications



  • Strong analytic, critical thinking, and decisionmaking skills, with the ability to lead through complex, timesensitive situations.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in corporate security, GSOC/SOC, emergency communications, or public safety, with at least 2+ years managing an operations center or comparable team.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing supervisors and frontline operators in a 24/7 environment.
  • Proven ability to build and execute strategy, define KPIs, and drive organizational change.
  • Proficiency with security and operations technologies, including:
  • Access control and alarm monitoring platforms
  • CCTV / video management systems Incident management / ticketing and computeraided dispatch tools
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including executiveready reporting, SITREPs, and briefings.
  • Experience working with highly confidential information and maintaining appropriate discretion.
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight timelines, managing multiple priorities and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a 24/7 operational environment, including occasional nights, weekends, holidays, and oncall responsibilities as required.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in security management, Emergency Management, Criminal Justice, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Prior communication center or GSOC supervisory/management experience supporting large or distributed operations.
  • Demonstrated experience with datadriven decisionmaking, including compiling, interpreting, and presenting operational metrics.
  • Background in quality assurance, audits, or process improvement within security, operations, or emergency management.
  • Experience partnering with or managing thirdparty security vendors and associated KPIs/SOW performance.
  • Familiarity with Lenel or similar access control systems, modern VMS platforms, and risk intelligence tools.
