JOB SUMMARY
|
This position is responsible for providing the cook room with a blend of tomato paste and water which has been mixed to specification. The machinery utilized is a paste extractor and ribbon blender. This position must adhere to all quality standards. Due to the dynamic nature of our business, duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
|
- Enter paste bin info into inventory. Account for each bin of paste used correctly
- Empty tomato paste into the ribbon blender using the paste extractor and transfer to the proper paste tank
- Operators must follow instructions to achieve desired brix standards
- Open lids on paste bins to prepare for blending
- Keep proper records on paste pumper sheets and account for all bins used
- Keep extractor and areas clean at all times
- Break down wooden bins and stack wood. Tag with appropriate supplier paper
- Notify cook operators of any paste supplier changes or procedural changes
- Sweep warehouse #4
- Adhere to all Red Gold policies, rules, and regulations, including GMP's and safety
- Work as a team player with members of the crew and others in the plant

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
|
- High School Diploma, General Educational Development Diploma (GED) or equivalent experience
- Must be able to understand and carry out instructions while performing manual labor related tasks
- Must be able to successfully use basic math and writing skills necessary to complete the required paperwork

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

* Sitting- to complete a task at lower levels * Standing- to complete most all tasks * Walking * Climbing- to get to parts department, when using ladder, on equipment * Reaching- to perform activities, to get tools out of toolbox * Kneeling- to perform work activities at low levels * Crawling- to perform work activities under equipment * Squatting * Bending/stooping- to pick up tools or parts, to perform work tasks at lower levels or inside a machine * Twisting- to perform work activities * Pinch- to use tools, to manipulate wires
- Grasping/handling- using tools, manipulating parts
- Must be able to climb stairs and ladders
- Must be able to operate basic electrical switches
- Must be able to operate a forklift
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds on a regular basis

* Responsible for monitoring, record keeping and taking appropriate actions for specific Food Safety Plan and Food Quality Plan and pre requisite program requirements. * Responsible to report food safety and quality issues to management.
