Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit
The primary purpose of the
UNCG Center for Translational Biomedical Research is to conduct basic and translational research in human diseases, with focuses on biomarkers for early diagnosis of disease, understanding of disease pathogenesis and development of novel interventions for disease prevention and treatment.
Position Summary
This Post Doctoral Fellow position is expected to focus on development of methods for isolation and enrichment of extracellular vesicles, characterization of the extracellular vesicle cargos and investigation of the biological functions of secreted exracellular vescicles in the pathogenesis of diabetes and associated diseases.
Minimum Qualifications
The minimum qualifications for this position include a PhD degree in the field of Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, Molecular and Cellular Biology or relevant disciplines; fully trained and very experienced in analytical method development for sample enrichment, biological sample preparation from cells, tissues and biofluids.

The candidate for this position should be self-motivated, possess sufficient communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and with others in a collaborative research environment.
