Shipping Clerk I

At Gables Engineering, (a HEICO Company), we've been engineering the avionics systems pilots trust since 1946. We are looking for a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk I to join our team and help us continue building the technology that keeps aircraft flying safely around the world.

What You'll Do:

As a Shipping Clerk I, you'll make sure our avionics products reach customers on time, properly packed, and with the right documentation. You'll pick, pack, and ship avionic control panels and spare parts, process shipments through carrier portals, and receive and verify incoming deliveries in our ERP system, all of which keeps our customers flying and our operations running smoothly.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Cross-checks picking units against customer order pick lists to ensure accuracy
  • Assembles boxes and packs avionic control panels, spare parts, and documents using the correct spacers, fillers, and protective padding
  • Prepares shipping documentation according to departmental requirements and ensures accuracy of information
  • Receives incoming shipments and ensures they are recorded correctly in the ERP system
  • Inspects incoming deliveries and verifies receiving and purchasing documentation (e.g., purchase orders and quantities) against company records
  • Notifies and/or delivers incoming packages to end users
  • Performs inventory cycle counts of finished goods in the shipping location as required
  • Keeps the shipping area organized and ensures supplies (boxes, tape, labels) are available


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:



  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year of shipping experience
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and carrier portals (FedEx, UPS, DHL)
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently under time pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to use equipment such as a forklift or hand truck, and to lift up to 70 pounds occasionally


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Forklift operator certification
  • Experience with Aerospace TMS and foam-in-bag packaging systems
  • Experience in the avionics industry
