Title: Clerk IV (Graduate Program Administrative Assistant) Executive Area: Academic Affairs College/School/MBU: College of Natural Sciences Department: Psychology and Brain Sci Work Location: Amherst Schedule:Full Time Work Arrangement:Hybrid Job Summary The Clerk IV / Graduate Program Administrative Assistant (GPAA) coordinates all administrative activities for the graduate academic programs in the Department of Psychological & Brain Sciences (PBS). Manages administrative functions for the four Graduate programs (Masters and Ph.D) within PBS, and provides support for the graduate program in behavior neuroscience. Works closely the Graduate Program Director (GPD) and other graduate program faculty & staff to support graduate academic work, graduate training, planning and provision. Essential Functions Working collaboratively with the GPD and Graduate School, provides daily program administration and student support to continuing students, program coordination, and assessment of activities and procedures. Other Functions Serves as backup support to other PBS staff as needed. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma with three (3) years of relevant experience or an Associate's Degree with one (1) year of relevant experience. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in higher education environment. Additional Details Work to ensure compliance with department, college, Graduate School and university policies, including regulations affecting international students and state and federal law. Working Conditions Work is performed in a standard office or indoor university environment and involves minimal physical exertion. Work Schedule and Work Arrangement Monday - Friday; 8:30am - 4:30pm. This position has the opportunity for a hybrid work schedule, which is defined by the University as an arrangement where an employee's work is regularly performed at a location other than the campus workspace for a portion of the week. As this position falls within the University Staff Association, it is subject to the terms and conditions of the University Staff Association collective bargaining agreement.
