Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field Master's or Ph.D. preferred 5+ years of professional experience, including 3+ years in Human Factors Engineering within the medical device industry Experience with usability studies, risk analysis, and regulated product development environments Knowledge of FDA Human Factors guidance, IEC 62366, HE75, and related standards preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to travel up to 25% as needed Job Duties Develop, review, and maintain Human Factors engineering documentation and usability reports Conduct and support formative and summative usability studies Evaluate use-related risks and recommend risk mitigation strategies Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product safety, effectiveness, and user experience Provide human factors insights to support product design, verification, and validation activities Analyze usability findings and recommend design improvements Support compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and mentor junior team members when needed Physical Capabilities Ability to work independently in a remote environment Ability to participate in virtual meetings, presentations, and collaborative project activities Occasional travel required Benefits Medical, dental, vision, and pet insurance 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Commuter/Parking Accounts People Perks Program Health Savings Account (HSA) AD&D Insurance This is an excellent opportunity for a Human Factors professional to contribute to innovative medical device development while gaining valuable experience with a leading healthcare technology organization.
