Job Summary:
M1 Support Services' Senior Human Resources Generalist leads and supports key HR initiatives and daily operations of
the HR department. This strategic and hands-on role requires an experienced HR professional who can partner with
leadership, provide expert guidance on HR policies and employment regulations, and contribute to the development and
execution of people strategies across domestic and international operations. The Senior HR Generalist will take
ownership of complex employee relations issues, performance management, compliance, training, talent acquisition
support, benefits and leave administration, and HR project leadership. Working within established policies, procedures,
and applicable law, this position exercises independent judgment and decision-making in resolving day-to-day and
moderately complex HR matters, escalating matters with significant legal, financial, or organizational risk as
appropriate. This position plays a vital role in creating a high-performance, employee-focused culture that supports M1's
mission and values
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
HR Operations & Compliance
* Develop, implement, and continuously improve HR policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and best
practices.
* Lead HR compliance initiatives and ensure adherence to federal and state employment regulations (EEOC,
FMLA, FLSA, ADA, etc.).
* Maintain and audit HR systems, personnel records, and compliance documentation with high accuracy and
confidentiality.
* Independently evaluate and resolve routine and moderately complex HR matters, including personnel actions and
policy interpretation, using sound judgment within established company policy and applicable law; escalate
higher-risk or precedent-setting matters as appropriate.
* Provide HR leadership and support to domestic, remote, and international locations.
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
* Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to support strategic recruitment and workforce planning efforts.
* Lead onboarding and new hire integration efforts to enhance early engagement and retention.
Benefits & Leave Administration
* Administer and serve as a subject matter resource for leave-of-absence (LOA) programs, including FMLA, ADA-
related leave/accommodation coordination, military leave/USERRA, personal/medical leave, STD/LTD, and other
applicable company or statutory leave programs.
* Independently review leave requests and supporting documentation, determine eligibility and applicable leave
designation within established policy and legal requirements, track required notices and deadlines, maintain
accurate case documentation, and coordinate return-to-work and leave closure activities.
* Partner with payroll, benefits vendors, employees, and management to ensure accurate and timely
administration of benefits and leave-related actions.
* Support and coordinate annual open enrollment and related communications.
Training, Development & Compliance Tracking

* Assess training needs and facilitate targeted development programs in partnership with department leadership.
* Lead the management and tracking of employee compliance training across the organization, ensuring all
regulatory and contract-specific training requirements are met.
* Maintain accurate training records and generate reports for audits, leadership, and government compliance
requirements.
* Mentor junior HR team members and contribute to HR team capability-building.
Special Projects & HR Support
* Lead or participate in cross-functional HR projects and initiatives, including policy reviews, HRIS
implementations, New
Contract/Site Transitions, and process improvements.
* Process and manage Verifications of Employment (VOEs) in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring
compliance with company policy and applicable regulations.
* Support background investigations by coordinating with employees and meeting with investigators to
provide required documentation or clarification, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with federal
guidelines.
* Provide responsive, professional HR support to leadership and employees across all levels of the organization.
Additional Duties
* Will accomplish relevant additional duties as requested with federal regulations and customer requirements.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education:
* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
o Relevant experience can be substituted in lieu of education.
* HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) strongly preferred.
Experience:
* 5+ years of progressive HR generalist experience with a proven track record in employee relations, leave-of-
absence administration, compliance, and policy development.
* Experience supporting a government contracting or multi-site organization preferred.
Technical Skills:
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems (e.g., ADP, UKG, Workday).
Knowledge & Soft Skills:
* In-depth knowledge of federal and state labor laws and HR best practices.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build trust across all levels.
* Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing competing priorities.
* Demonstrated discretion and ability to handle confidential information.
Proactive problem-solver with demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment, make sound
decisions within established authority, and collaborate effectively when escalation or cross-functional
coordination is required.

Working Conditions:
* Standard office environment with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
* Occasional travel may be required to support HR functions at various locations.
* May need to work extended hours or weekends to meet deadlines or handle urgent HR matters.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
