Job Description
Purpose of the Role Serve as the liaison between Production Scheduling, Supply Planning, Logistics, and Customer Service to ensure timely, accurate, and validated order status information is available for customer communications. The role proactively engages plant teams to identify risks, verify commitments, obtain updates, and ensure Customer Service has reliable information before issues escalate.
Pay: $24.75/hour
Shift: Day. Mondays to Fridays from 7 am to 3 pm. OT might be required.
Scope of the Role This role focuses on improving the flow of order status and fulfillment risk information between plant teams, logistics, supply chain, and Customer Service. It does not own production planning, scheduling or logistics decisions, inventory allocation, or customer communication directly. Instead, the role coordinates with the right teams to obtain timely, accurate updates, validate commitments, follow up on open items, and ensure Customer Service has the information needed to communicate clearly with customers.
Key Responsibilities * Act as the primary coordination point between Customer Service and plant teams for order fulfillment issues. * Partner with schedulers, planners, production teams, and logistics personnel to obtain timely updates on critical, late, and at-risk orders. * Challenge and validate production schedules, shipment dates, inventory availability, and transportation plans to ensure commitments are realistic. * Facilitate daily reviews of service risks, backorders, delayed shipments, and critical customer requirements. * Maintain visibility of open issues and drive timely follow-up with plant and logistics teams until updates are obtained. * Escalate significant service risks and unresolved issues to supply chain leadership. * Ensure Customer Service receives proactive, fact-based updates to support timely customer communications. * Generate and interpret SAP and Power BI reports to monitor order status, service performance, shortages, and fulfillment risks. * Identify emerging service risks and bring visibility to issues requiring attention. * Track commitments, actions, and status changes to ensure accurate and timely communication across teams.
Qualifications
* 3-5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Production Planning, Scheduling, Logistics, Manufacturing, or Customer Service. * Comfortable navigating SAP to review order, inventory, shipment, and production-related information. * Comfortable using Power BI reports to monitor service performance, identify exceptions, and support decision-making. * Strong analytical and organizational skills. * Ability to influence and coordinate across functions without direct authority. * Excellent communication and follow-up skills. * Customer-focused mindset with a strong sense of urgency.
Success Measures * Faster turnaround time for order status updates. * Improved quality and timeliness of information provided to Customer Service. * Reduction in service-related escalations caused by lack of visibility. * Increased proactive communication of fulfillment risks. * Improved alignment between production schedules, logistics execution, and customer commitments. * Reduced administrative burden on planners and schedulers.
Value Proposition This role serves as the information bridge between Customer Service, plant teams, and logistics, ensuring customer-facing teams receive timely, accurate, and validated updates while planners, schedulers, and logistics teams remain focused on execution. The position improves responsiveness, visibility, and overall customer service through strong coordination and follow-up.
