Installer/Trainer (Part-Time)

CaptionCall is seeking a customer-focused Installer/Trainer who is passionate about helping people stay connected. In this role, you'll visit customers in their homes, install CaptionCall phones, and provide personalized training that helps individuals with hearing loss communicate with confidence.

Compensation

Compensation for this role includes both an hourly wage and additional piece-rate earnings for completed installations and service calls.

Pay Range: Hourly + Piece Rate

Hourly Rate: $15.00 to $19.52 per hour, based on location and experience.

Current Piece Rate (Additional compensation for completed installation):



  • $25/successful installation
  • $25/successful priority service call
  • $15/successful service call


EXAMPLE (for illustrative purposes only):

An Install/Trainer earning $15.00 per hour who works 20 hours a week and completes:



  • 8 successful installations ($25 each)
  • 2 successful service calls ($15 each)


Potential earnings:



  • Hourly pay: $300
  • Installation pay: $200
  • Service call pay: $30


Total gross weekly earnings: $530, plus eligible mileage reimbursement.

This example is for illustrative purposes only. Actual earnings vary based on hours worked, completed installations and service calls, territory demand, and other business factors. Earnings shown are before applicable taxes and deductions.

Compensation combines an hourly wage with additional piece-rate earnings, allowing employees to increase their earnings based on completed installations and service calls.

What You'll Do



  • Install and troubleshoot CaptionCall phones in customers' homes
  • Train customers on how to use their phone and key features with patience and professionalism
  • Complete service calls and equipment exchanges as assigned
  • Maintain accurate customer records and submit required documentation
  • Retrieve, clean, and manage equipment inventory
  • Assist with community outreach and lead generation activities as needed
  • Represent CaptionCall at local events and community engagements
  • Follow all company compliance, privacy, and confidentiality requirements
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism while working in customers' homes
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For



  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working one-on-one with customers in their homes
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Dependable, organized, and self-motivated
  • Ability to work independently and manage your schedule effectively
  • Adaptable and comfortable working in different environments each day
  • Basic computer and technology skills
  • Ability to explain technology in a simple, customer-friendly manner
  • Experience working with seniors or individuals with hearing loss is preferred
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed



Education

Required: High School Diploma or GED

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements



  • Daily local driving within territory is required
  • Required to provide and maintain a reliable personal vehicle for work-related travel and active automobile insurance throughout employment
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
  • Ability to transport and set up equipment in customers' homes
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, and move equipment throughout the workday
  • Dexterity to operate computers, tablets, tools, and related equipment
  • Regular and predictable attendance required
  • Occasional air travel may be required
