Your Job

Koch Ag & Energy Solutions (KAES) is seeking a Urea/UAN Technology Director to advance urea technology and operational performance across our manufacturing network. In this highly collaborative role, you will apply technical knowledge to solve complex plant challenges, contribute and/or initiate strategic projects, and identify opportunities that create long-term value.

This position will ideally be located and/or relocate to our Wichita, KS office location or one of our operation facilities across the fleet.

Our Team

You will partner with operations, engineering, and business teams across KAES. Together, the team works to improve current performance, develop future capabilities, and advance growth opportunities across the business.

What You Will Do

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for urea / UAN technology across KAES.
  • Partner with plant teams to optimize operations and resolve significant technical and operational challenges.
  • Initiate, contribute and support technology projects across urea / UAN plants that improve long-term operational performance and create sustainable value.
  • Identify and advance growth projects with teams across KAES business groups.
  • Partner with engineering contractors to develop, evaluate, and validate technical solutions and alternatives.
  • Build relationships with external companies and industry experts to acquire knowledge and identify new opportunities.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Experience with UREA/UAN manufacturing, operations, technology, or processes.
  • Willing and able to regularly travel domestically to meet business needs.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience with process optimization, process engineering, process technology or production support.
  • Demonstrated examples of implemented substantial improvements either directly in plant processes or via capital projects
  • Experience supporting capital projects, turnarounds, or plant startups.
