Position Title: Welder

Wage: $24.00/hour

Shift: 1st, 2nd

Hours: 5:00am-3:30pm Monday-Thursday, 3:30pm-2:00am Monday-Thursday

Join a growing manufacturing team in Independence, MO as a Welder! Perform MIG and TIG welding, assist with production, and learn to operate various shop equipment in a hands-on environment. Choose from 1st shift (5:30am to 3:30pm) or 2nd shift (3:30pm-2:00am), Monday to Thursday. Great potential to hire opportunity to build your welding skills and grow in manufacturing.

Welder Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Assist machine operators with daily production tasks and material handling

- Learn to operate manufacturing equipment, including fiber lasers, press brakes, and other fabrication machinery

- Perform MIG and TIG welding on a variety of materials, following blueprints, specifications, and quality standards

- Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal parts and products using welding and other fabrication techniques

- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively

- Perform fabrication and assembly of parts and products

- Grind, sand, deburr, and finish welded components to meet production and quality requirements

- Hand pick, sort, package, and prepare finished products for shipment

- Operate sanders, soldering equipment, and other finishing tools as needed

- Load, unload, and move materials throughout the shop

- Perform basic machine setup

- Inspect completed welds and finished products for quality and accuracy

- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

- Follow all company safety procedures and perform other duties as assigned

- Potential to train and become certified to operate a forklift

Welder Requirements:

- Manufacturing, fabrication, or shop experience is required

- Experience with MIG and TIG welding required; ability to read welding symbols and blueprints is a plus

- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new equipment and processes

- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and welding equipment

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively and stand for extended periods

- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Commitment to workplace safety and following all welding and shop safety procedures
