Position Title: General Shop Laborer-Machine Operator
Wage: $20.00/hour Shift: 1st, 2nd Hours: 5:00am-3:30pm Monday-Thursday, 3:30pm-2:00am Monday-Thursday Join a growing manufacturing team in Independence, MO as a General Shop Laborer-Machine Operator! Assist machine operators, support production, and learn valuable fabrication and equipment skills in a hands-on environment. Choose from 1st shift (5:30am to 3:30pm) or 2nd shift (3:30pm to 2:00am), Monday to Thursday. Great potential to hire opportunity to learn, grow, and build a career in manufacturing. General Shop Laborer-Machine Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Assist machine operators with daily production tasks and material handling - Learn to operate manufacturing equipment, including fiber lasers, press brakes, and other fabrication machinery - Use hand and power tools safely and effectively - Perform fabrication and assembly of parts and products - Hand pick, sort, package, and prepare finished products for shipment - Operate sanders, soldering equipment, and other finishing tools as needed - Load, unload, and move materials throughout the shop - Perform basic machine setup - Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment - Follow all company safety procedures and perform other duties as assigned - Potential to train and become certified to operate a forklift General Shop Laborer-Machine Operator Requirements: - Manufacturing or shop experience is preferred - Must have machine operating experience - Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new equipment and processes - Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively and stand for extended periods - Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail - Ability to work independently and as part of a team IND060 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
