Field Service Laser

POSITION SUMMARY

To support customers with (but not limited to Laser Cutting Machines with and without Automation. This includes installation and service. Provides field service to ensure customer satisfaction. Take continuing education on new machines and technologies. Not exclusive to the same functions as other Amada machines.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Complete all aspects of the installation
• Follow up on any aspects outside of the normal scope of work with the proper departments to obtain customer satisfaction.
• Complete status (service) reports, expense reports every week, and technical documentation as needed.
• Maintain excellent customer relations and follow through on customer issues.
• Maintain excellent coworker and manager relations.
• Complete other required internal paperwork (Urgent Parts Requests, Parts Removal Requests, Purchase Requisitions, etc.)
• Regular travel.
• Provide feedback to the manager on any machine and customer issues that require further action.
• Demonstrate a commitment to an Injury-Free Environment by complying with all aspects of the corporate environmental, health and safety program.

SKILLS:

• Mechanical systems
• Electrical systems
• Hydraulics
• Ability to use hand tools, Volt/Ohm meter, and Oscilloscope.
• Working knowledge of computers and Windows OS.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Excellent relational skills (with customers, coworkers (senior and junior), and management).
• Ability to work harmoniously with others.
