| Preferred Qualifications |
Previous supervisory experience, along with knowledge and experience with locksmith and security access control systems is desired. |
| Position Summary |
The position leads a shop consisting of four skilled trades employees including Locksmiths and Electronic Security Technicians. This shop performs the installation, maintenance and repair of a variety of types of locks throughout the University as well as the technical work involving operating, installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing components of the campus security system. |
| Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies |
- Thorough knowledge of the practices, methods, equipment, materials, and tools of the locksmith and security access trades.
- Communicates effectively (verbal & written).
- Demonstrates ability to work independently and with initiative to ensure tasks and projects are delivered on time.
- Proficiency with Email, Microsoft Office Suite, AIM, Onesource, One USG Connect, etc.
- Understanding of technical documents (engineering plans, specifications, drawings, & other technical documents).*
- Proven ability to multi-task, set priorities and resolve issues quickly.
- Ability to maintain good relationships with personnel of other departments.
