Office Automation Clerk
Cognitive Professional Services Inc. is submitting a proposal bid and is seeking a qualified Office Automation Clerk to support the United States Attorney's Office (USAO).

Requirements:
  • Must be a U.S. citizen. Must be and have the ability to prove U.S. citizenship.
  • Security Requirement: Successfully pass a Background Investigation (BI) and security screening.
  • Experience: 2 years of experience in a legal support position is preferred

Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities: This position handles daily technology tasks and basic hardware upkeep such as:
  • Routine equipment upkeep
  • Minor troubleshooting and scheduling professional repairs for computers, printers and copiers
  • Clear paper jams safely from printers and copiers
  • Clean scanner glass and computer screens
  • Change printer toner, ink cartridges, and staples
  • Check physical cable connections for loose wires
  • Restart frozen computers, scanners or network devices
  • Run basic software updates or driver re-installations
  • Test hardware connections to local office networks
  • Identify error codes on copier machines before reporting issues
  • Assist with property inventory to include submission of excess property
  • Assist with setting up equipment for press conferences

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Experience providing direct end-user support for the applications being supported, including both telephone support and on-site assistance to users.
  • Experience with Microsoft office applications
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required
  • Know how to operate printers, scanners and phone systems
  • Ability to manage many tasks at one time and finish work timely
  • Ability to write and communicate clearly and politely with co-workers and clients
  • Knowledge and understanding of the mission, functions, and litigative activities of the USAO
