As a key member of the Matthews Center team, the Specialist for Metrics & Assessment takes leadership on the Matthews Center's collection and use of data, as well as the administration and maintenance of the Center's technical systems. The coordinator collaborates closely with colleagues both in the Matthews Center and across campus related to data collection and management. The Role Data Collection & Reporting:
- Collaborate with Matthews Center Chief Career Officer and their manager to identify and articulate the performance metrics used to assess the Center's progress on a variety of goals, and with the leadership team to produce reports with data visualization that illustrate the Matthews Center's work.
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve a central dashboard and key metrics showing the performance benchmarks established for the Matthews Center, as well as progress toward identified goals. Establish and refine data collection and reporting processes that support the identified metrics, and regularly gather and integrate data so the dashboard can be used to show progress, identify challenges, and inform decisions.
- Identify patterns and trends within raw data.
- Pull and share dashboard reports with the Matthews Center team from Handshake (CSM) and 12/Twenty (FDS).
- Pull data and create reports for ad hoc data requests as requested by campus partners and Matthews Center team members, in collaboration with your manager.
- Oversee the annual First Destinations Survey project to collect information on the post-graduate destinations of Davidson students and prepare illustrative graphics for internal and external reporting.
- Oversee the MCCD annual report data collection and collaborate with the Assistant Director for Marketing & Events to create the report.
- Collaborate with the Associate Director for Employer Relations and Outreach to develop standard operating procedures for employer relationship management including normalizing the use of a CRM, utilizing existing data to identify prospective employers, track relationship status, and produce regular reports.
- With direction from the Matthews Center Leadership Team, lead qualitative data collection activities including focus groups, interviews, and other research methods.
Technology Management:
- Oversee current technology systems in use within the Matthews Center (i.e., Handshake, LACRM, 12Twenty and all subscription databases) and provide recommendations to streamline processes that result in increased efficiency and effectiveness for all system users. Serve as the MCCD liaison to these technology systems.
- Collaborate with Davidson Technology & Innovation to maintain external technology systems and identify areas to improve efficiency of current technology.
- Collaborate with Davidson Technology & Innovation to identify new technology needs and opportunities to increase overall office proficiency.

- Bachelor's degree required
- The person in this position must be available and willing to work some evenings / weekends as required for career events and programming.
