Recall Service Analysis Specialist Location: Auburn Hills, MI (100% Onsite) Pay: Up to $45.24/hour Are you an experienced automotive professional who enjoys solving complex vehicle issues and collaborating with engineering, service, and technical teams? We are seeking a Recall Service Analysis Specialist to support critical vehicle safety and recall initiatives. In this role, you will help analyze recall remedies, evaluate service procedures, coordinate testing activities, and support the successful implementation of repair solutions that improve vehicle safety and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Review safety investigations to assess root causes, scope, complexity, and potential remedy options for vehicle issues.
- Conduct recall service analysis by reviewing repair procedures, engineering reports, CAD data, repair concerns, tools, time studies, and parts catalogs.
- Order, inspect, and validate parts, fasteners, and materials required for recall remedies.
- Locate, inspect, and evaluate vehicles to support investigation and remedy development activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand service solutions, repair requirements, and associated parts and materials.
- Coordinate multiple recall projects simultaneously while maintaining quality, accuracy, and on-time delivery.
- Organize and support lab events, vehicle inspections, and remedy trial remove-and-install activities.
- Lead or participate in testing events and ensure proper documentation and follow-up actions are completed.
- Track project milestones, identify risks, provide status updates, and drive action items to completion.
- Serve as a backup to the Advanced Service Methods Manager, assisting with meetings, project logs, scheduling, process development, and investigation tracking.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Automotive Technology, Engineering, or another technical discipline from an accredited university.
- 5-8 years of OEM automotive experience in service engineering, vehicle engineering, vehicle development, technical support, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Self-starter with demonstrated ownership, accountability, initiative, and follow-through.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and organizational levels.
- Thorough understanding of automotive systems, including suspension, brakes, electrical systems, and powertrain components.
- Knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, repair procedures, and dealership service operations.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Outlook, CAD, AI/Copilot tools, and related software.
- Ability to travel locally as needed to support investigation and remedy development activities.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience with Stellantis/FCA systems, processes, products, or service and engineering operations.
- ASE certification in one or more automotive repair specialties.
- Understanding of manufacturing, supply chain, and purchasing operations.
- Strong diagnostic and technical troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of EBOM, SBOM, AMPS, Change Notices, and CAD systems.
- Ability to analyze complex data and communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
