Assistant Vice President - Commercial P&C

Location: Torrance, CA | Hybrid - 2 days onsite per week

Employment Type: Exempt, Full-Time, Direct Hire

A Leadership Opportunity for an Experienced Commercial P&C Professional

This is an opportunity for an experienced Commercial Property & Casualty insurance professional to step into a broader leadership role and make an impact beyond managing individual client accounts.

As Assistant Vice President, you will help lead the Commercial P&C department alongside the VP, serving as a key resource for the Account Management and Account Executive teams. Rather than managing your own book of business, your focus will be on department leadership, team development, complex client matters, and overall service excellence.

This role is particularly well suited for a seasoned Commercial P&C professional who is currently in a management or senior-level role-or someone ready to take the next step into department leadership.

You will serve as a technical and leadership resource for the team, helping Account Managers and Account Executives navigate complex coverage, risk, contractual, and client-service issues. You will also partner closely with the VP on escalated matters, carrier and vendor relationships, process improvement, and department strategy.

The organization is experiencing significant growth. This is an opportunity to join a growing platform where your leadership experience, technical expertise, and ability to develop people can have a direct impact on the future of the department.

Why This Opportunity?

Department Leadership: Help lead the overall Commercial P&C function rather than managing an individual book of business.

Leadership Development: Lead, coach, and develop experienced Account Managers and Account Executives.

Technical Expertise: Serve as a senior resource on complex coverage, contractual, risk, claims, and client-service matters.

VP Partnership: Work closely with the VP as a key leadership partner and provide support on critical and escalated issues.

Organizational Impact: Contribute to workflow improvements, training, service standards, and department strategy.

Growth Environment: Play an important role in a rapidly growing organization backed by an established global brokerage.
