Join the Northside Hospital Heart Institute as a hospital cardiology nurse navigator supporting our inpatient cardiology physicians and advanced practice providers at Northside Hospital Gwinnett in Lawrenceville. This role serves as a key member of the hospital-based cardiology team, coordinating daily clinical operations to ensure timely, high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities include coordinating and managing the daily inpatient cardiology census and provider assignments, coordinating inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular procedures, managing consults, facilitating communication between providers and hospital staff, entering physician-directed orders, scheduling follow-up care, and supporting patient transfers and transitions of care. The ideal candidate is an experienced cardiac nurse who thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates exceptional organizational and communication skills, and is committed to delivering outstanding patient care through collaboration and teamwork.

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and three (3) years of clinical experience in Cardiology OR Associate Degree in Nursing with five (5) years of clinical experience in Cardiology Registered Nurse license in the state of Georgia Working knowledge of service line and strong foundation in patient support programs.

  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
  • Self-motivated, independent work skills Professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detailed and results oriented individual.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.

**3-12 hr shifts, the days vary with some weekend requirements**
