What You Will Learn:
We are seeking a strategic and driven Finance Manager to act as a financial partner for Kiehl's Global DMI team. In this high-impact role, you will partner closely with DMI leadership teams to optimize development costs, coordinate SG&A, and lead Zone financial analysis to promote optimal decision making within the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Co-Pilot Profitable Growth & Strategic Partnering (50%)

  • Strategic Partnerships: Serve as the go-to finance partner for Brand President, DGM and marketing teams to strategically align on investment and challenge status quo to unlock savings and increase ROI
  • Zone P&L Analysis (AFM): lead comprehensive Zone P&L analysis to share key insights with management on zone performance and trends
  • ROI & benchmarking: create effective benchmarking, cost-saving initiatives and relevant KPIs to evaluate spend effectiveness and influence business partners
  • Paris Finance Collaboration: partner closely with corporate finance teams in Paris for any ad-hoc requests and analysis

Budget, Trend & Actual management (30%)

  • End-to-end budgeting: leads the preparation, coordinate and analysis of annual business plans, budget and trends (including inputs, allocations and Compass reporting) in alignment with the corporate calendar
  • Actuals Analysis & Commentary: Provide rigorous variance analysis and deliver actionable commentary for Flash meetings & review with DMI management teams, including Worldwide Net Sales analysis
  • Purchase Order & Cost Control: Review and approve development cost center POs, monitor compliance and conduct monthly budget reviews with cross-functional teams
  • SG&A coordination: Coordinate and manage the follow-up of SG&A with BEST team

Financial Control, Closing & Compliance (20%)

  • Monthly close: Drive the monthly closing process, including preparation of journal entries, accruals, reclassifications and managing month-end close with the BEST team
  • Internal Controls & KPIS: maintain the highest standard of internal controls and purchasing KPIs in line with Group Norms to mitigate financial risks
  • Team enablement: set a high standard of financial literacy among business partners by training teams, defining stronger ways of working and championing continue process improvements.

What We Are Looking For:
Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent required
  • 5-7 years of experience in finance
  • Strong computer skills required, master in Excel - with it highlighted on the CV with strong examples of finance
  • Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills; business acumen; leadership skills; oral and written communication skills; and excellent interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA/CPA a plus
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment
  • SAP or TM1/Cognos a plus
  • Compass experience would be great
  • Magnitude experience would be a plus as well
  • Excellent communication skills, with ability to present complex data clearly to senior executives and lead conversations with budget owners for trends/budgets
