Housekeeping Supervisor

Crescent Hotels & Resorts
United States, North Carolina, Charlotte
5624 Westpark Drive (Show on map)
Aug 17, 2026
Description
Lead the Team. Raise the Standard. Make Every Guest Feel at Home.

A great guest experience doesn't happen by accident-it starts with the people working behind the scenes to make sure every room, hallway, and shared space is ready for our guests.

We're looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor who takes pride in leading a team, maintaining high standards, and making sure the hotel looks and feels its best throughout the evening and overnight hours.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can lead with confidence, coach with respect, notice the details, and step in when the team needs support.

If you're someone who believes that cleanliness is more than a checklist and that great leadership means being willing to pitch in, this could be the opportunity for you.

What You'll Do

  • Supervise and support the housekeeping team throughout the night shift.
  • Provide clear direction, coaching, training, and performance feedback to team members.
  • Assign work based on hotel needs, special requests, and areas requiring additional attention.
  • Inspect guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house areas, and other assigned spaces to ensure they meet hotel cleanliness standards.
  • Monitor cleaning quality and ensure health, sanitation, safety, and loss-prevention standards are followed.
  • Support the housekeeping team in maintaining a smooth and efficient operation.
  • Assist room attendants, housepersons, inspectors, and other housekeeping team members when circumstances require additional support.
  • Distribute housekeeping supplies and goods at the beginning of the shift while maintaining appropriate inventory control.
  • Help control operating expenses by ensuring supplies are used responsibly and efficiently.
  • Respond professionally and promptly to guest requests, concerns, and housekeeping-related issues.
  • Follow up on guest concerns to help ensure satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate Lost & Found records and respond to guest inquiries regarding missing or recovered items.
  • Follow emergency procedures and participate in emergency training to help protect guests, associates, the hotel, and company assets.
  • Communicate important information to the appropriate leadership and team members.
  • Complete other job-related duties as assigned.

The role is designed to keep the housekeeping operation moving smoothly while maintaining quality, guest satisfaction, safety, and expense control.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is:

  • A hands-on leader who isn't afraid to jump in and help the team.
  • Detail-oriented and able to recognize when something isn't meeting our standards.
  • Dependable and accountable, especially during the night shift.
  • A great communicator who can give clear direction and provide constructive feedback.
  • A coach and motivator who knows how to help employees improve.
  • Guest-focused and committed to resolving concerns professionally.
  • Organized, with the ability to prioritize assignments and manage supplies effectively.
  • Safety-conscious, with an understanding of proper housekeeping and hotel safety procedures.
  • Adaptable and resourceful, especially when unexpected situations arise.
  • Professional and respectful, treating guests and associates with courtesy at all times.
  • A team player who understands that sometimes leadership means rolling up your sleeves and getting the job done.

The position requires the ability to communicate in English, move throughout the hotel, bend, stoop, reach, and assist team members with physical tasks when needed. The source description also notes the ability to grasp, lift, carry, or otherwise move materials weighing up to 100 pounds.

Why Join Our Team?

Because great hospitality happens 24 hours a day.

While many of our guests are sleeping, you and your team are helping prepare the hotel for the next day.

Your leadership will make a difference in the condition of our guest rooms, the appearance of our public spaces, the confidence of your team, and ultimately the experience our guests have when they wake up and start their day.

This is an opportunity to take ownership, build your leadership skills, support your team, and see the direct impact of your work.

The Kind of Leader Who Thrives Here

You might be the perfect fit if you're the person who:

Notices the details others miss.

Knows how to hold people accountable while still treating them with respect.

Can walk into a busy situation and bring order to it.

Doesn't ask the team to do something you wouldn't do yourself.

Takes pride in a clean, safe, and well-run hotel.

Can work independently while still keeping leadership informed.

Understands that every clean room represents our commitment to the guest.

We believe every associate is a guest-relations ambassador, and that commitment applies just as much behind the scenes as it does at the front desk. Professionalism, courtesy, adaptability, punctuality, safety, and teamwork are essential to creating a positive guest and associate experience.

Ready to Lead from Behind the Scenes?

If you're ready to bring your leadership skills, attention to detail, and hospitality mindset to a team where your work truly matters, we'd love to meet you.
