Position Summary:

The Cirtec Medical Facilities and Maintenance Team focuses on preventative and corrective maintenance of manufacturing and facilities equipment, systems, and assets, while providing outstanding customer service. As a Facilities and Maintenance Technician II, you will be part of a team that works and grows together through authentic communication, collaboration, training, and successes. You will work to ensure that equipment and systems in manufacturing operations and the facilities are functioning safely and are properly maintained, repaired, and installed

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consistently and effectively utilize experience and knowledge to positively practice and support Environmental, Health, and Safety requirements, program objectives, training programs, and improvement initiatives.
  • Routinely provide and maintain a safe, organized, and clean working environment.
  • Accurately and efficiently complete and evaluate daily facility, machine, and systems checks. Effectively utilize the information to confirm operational reliability, performance, and to identify issues. Properly and proactively complete adjustments or corrections as required.
  • Proactively and proficiently apply knowledge and skills of machine electrical, mechanical, fluid, pneumatic, and control principles, operations, and applications to effectively assemble, install, maintain, troubleshoot, test, or repair equipment and systems.
  • Ensure optimal functionality of various manufacturing and facilities equipment by effectively monitoring outputs and properly performing preventive and predictive maintenance tasks.
  • Proficiently and reliably assess and repair machinery breakdowns or malfunctions by conducting basic and advanced trouble shooting analysis up to and including PLC level diagnostics and program adjustments.Ability to skillfully develop, communicate, and execute time, cost, scope, and risk plans for addressing impactful machine maintenance downtime.
  • Properly utilize the computerized maintenance management system to ensure accurate and complete work data is captured as required.
  • Assist with identifying, ordering, and inventory control of needed parts for repairs, department functionality, and preventative maintenance.
  • Communicate in a professional, authentic, and considerate manner to customers, teammates, peers, managers, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Act with intent by consistently addressing tasks with prompt and purposeful action from start to finish to ensure machine uptime and overall plant efficiency.
  • Provide team-first commitment when work schedules and assignments must adjust to meet the demands of the customers, teams, peers, and business.

Must Have:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in performing preventative and corrective maintenance on extrusion, injection molding, or medical device manufacturing equipment. Similar equipment experience will be considered.
  • Alternatively, professional certification, with 7+ years' experience, in a discipline such as: Pneumatics / Hydraulics, Electrical Systems, PLCs, Robotics, Control Systems, or other electro-mechanical disciplines.
  • Direct hands-on experience maintaining and repairing complex electrical and mechanical equipment relative to extrusion and injection molding manufacturing is preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with equipment such as (but not limited to) Extruders, IR heat chambers, roll mills, in-line cutting equipment, air compressors, ultra sonic cleaners, pumps, lathes, mills, chillers, injection molding machines, resin dryer systems, coil winders, ovens, temp controllers, HVAC Units, and portable chillers.
  • Demonstrated and competent knowledge and experience in understanding, use and care of hand tools, repair of equipment and techniques, measuring equipment, manuals, schematics and blueprints.
  • Read and write in English. Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact effectively with all team members, engineering, contractors, suppliers, and management.
  • Ability to assess and adjust priorities, or objectives, based on situational awareness and customer needs.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, in all units of measure and in basic mathematical formulas, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Intermediate level skills for clerical and administrative procedures and systems such as computer functions, word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, internet, managing electronic and hardcopy files and other basic administrative tasks.

Good to Have:

  • Associate degree in a technical field such as (but not limited to) Mechatronics, Automation, Electronics Technology, Electrical Systems, Computerized Control Systems, CNC Technician, or Industrial Maintenance Technician is preferred; or a combination of education and relevant work experience

Hourly Pay Range: $29.84 - $44.75 / hourly, depending on experience and qualifications.
