Planner - Production Control (Lima, OH)

Maintenance and Modernization has a Production Control Planner position in Lima, OH. supporting our partnership with GD Land Systems.

This position supports various programs including Virginia, CLB. The successful candidate will be required to perform cross discipline Production Control functions which include, but are not limited to:

Work Order management
• Software and hardware expediting in support of Work Order schedules
• Change processing
• Work completion close-out
• Team Center interrogation

In order to perform these functions, the successful candidate will be required to interface with Operations, Engineering, Design, Material Systems, Configuration Management, Quality and other support organizations at various levels of management.

Successful candidate will be expected to be aware of and in compliance with those attributes of Safety, Quality, Cost, Schedule and Process Improvement as they apply to their position.

Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in a Planning/Production Control role
• Available for 1^st or 2^nd shifts

Preferred:

• College degree highly desirable
• Working knowledge of Electronic Desktop/PCM, MRPII, ERS, Team Center, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel
• Technical schooling or job experience in one of the following disciplines: Electrical, Mechanical, Piping, Sheetmetal/HVAC, Shipwrights and Structural
• Prior shipyard or submarine experience

• Blueprint reading skills
• PC computer skills
• Organizational skills
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Interpersonal skills
• Team Center experience in Production Control
• Proficiency in reading structural blueprints

• Work Order management

• Change processing

• Work completion close-out
