As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Site Circuit in North Baldwin, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a public school environment, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, manage access points, and assist students, staff, and visitors with professionalism. You will use strong communication and customer service skills while contributing to a caring culture built on teamwork, integrity, reliability, agility, and innovation at Allied Universal.

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at an educational location.
• Respond to incidents, student-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directing guests, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, or policy violations to appropriate school personnel and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Complete detailed activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation in accordance with site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
