Under the general supervision of Therapy Leadership and according to departmental policies and procedures regarding referral, standards of treatment, performs objective assessments, as well as comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients. Responsible for direct supervision to patients, indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians. General supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards. Position Details: Physical Therapy Assistant Per Diem Mercy - Fort Smith Requirements: Education: Associate's degree. Licensure: Current license to perform as a Physical Therapist Assistant from the Board of Physical Therapy in the applicable State of practice. Experience: Physical Therapist Assistant may be entry-level. Certifications: Health Care Provider Basic Life Support Certification. Physical Requirements: * Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis. * Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift. * Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
